Design Practice III//Negotiated Briefs//Jessie Leong & Daniel Kennedy.

Looking at more photography sources, and citied inspirations for the forthcoming design development for photography student, Jessie Leong's branding, I have also started to research the work and portfolio of Daniel Kennedy, whose specialism is within commercial portraiture, often in a studio environment.

Kennedy's work, often featuring notable figures and celebrities (such as comedian and television presenter, Alan Carr, see image above) will often be shot either in bold monochrome or colour-popping brights in contrasts to muted skin tones and saturated backgrounds. Again, Kennedy's work is reflective of Jessie's own tastes and portfolio and showcase her ambitions within her design career, to create a bold and impressive portfolio that communicates her own visual tastes and identity but can also work as a commercial and financially viable career path, that I'm sure, with her talent and incredible ambition, will undoubtedly do.

Again, I'll bear these points in mind as I go on to design her various print and digital branding products, developments of which can be found on my Design Practice blog.
